Citizenship, leadership, character and community service are the core of the Parkview MCJROTC program. Community service is a huge part of Parkview MCJROTC organization with cadets completing approximately 4000 service hours each year. Cadets are required to complete 4 community service details as part of their leadership grade. There are plenty of opportunities for cadets to complete this requirement check the calendar for more details. Parents, we need your help to make these details a success by chaperoning cadets. Look on our volunteer SignUp.com page and pick your spot.
Generally, service details are announced in class the week of the event. That's followed by the LOI (Letter of Intent) a permission form for parents to sign these are made available in ROTC gym. The LOI contains all details regarding time, date, place and dress code. Certain service details have limitations on attendance, it's a first come first serve basis. It's the cadet's responsibility to sign up on the service detail roster and get the LOI signed and turned in.
If you would like to request cadets to assist in your community service event or project, complete the "Request Service Detail" form. Please allow about 72 hours for a response.
